This policy explains how we, AI Note Taker, collect, use, and protect your information when you use our smart AI Wrapper app. AI Note Taker helps you transform content into summaries, quizzes, flashcards, and mind maps, along with WYSIWYG editing and AI chat.

- Uploaded Content: We collect files, text, and links you upload to create content in the app. You'll need to grant access to these files.
- Text and Interaction Data: We collect text you input when editing or chatting with AI.
- User Data: We collect your email, name, and profile picture to personalize your experience. This data isn't shared with third parties.
b. Usage and Analytics Data
- We collect minimal data about your app activity (e.g., number of notes, feature usage time). We may also collect IP addresses, device information, browser, and time zone.
- We use Firebase Analytics to analyze this data to improve the app and your experience.
c. Cookies and Similar Technologies
- We don't use third-party cookies. We use in-house cookies to improve functionality: Communications Cookies; Essential Cookies; Analytical Cookies.
- Opting Out: You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect some features.
- Beyond Cookies: We may use click-through URLs in emails to measure engagement. Most data collected via cookies is non-personal. If local laws consider IP personal, we protect it similarly. Non-personal data combined with personal data is treated as personal information.
2. How We Use Information
AI Note Taker uses uploaded content and interaction data to provide core functions: summarizing, creating quizzes, flashcards, mind maps, WYSIWYG editing, and AI chat. We do not use uploaded content or interaction data to personally identify you. We use information to provide, improve, test, and monitor Service effectiveness; troubleshoot and fix errors; enhance safety and security; monitor trends and usage; develop new features; understand your needs and offer relevant services and advertisements; and enhance your experience with information from cookies.
3. How We Share Information
To provide services, we partner with third-party providers. Our employees, subcontractors, and affiliates may access your data. We use secure storage like Amazon S3. We integrate RevenueCat, Firebase, OneSignal (see their policies). We don't control third-party platforms and aren't responsible for their actions. Your data may be transferred to providers in other regions with appropriate safeguards. We may disclose your personal information to comply with the law.
4. How We Store and Retain Information
- Your uploaded content and interaction data may be stored on our servers for up to 24 hours after a session ends. Content may be stored locally on your device and you can delete it at any time.
- Anonymized, aggregated, or non-identifiable data will be stored as long as necessary for the stated purposes.
- Data Security: We implement technical and organizational measures to protect information, use verified contractors, and train staff on data security.

6. Children's Privacy
- General Age Limit: Service is for users 13 or older. If under 18, parental/guardian consent is needed.
- EU Residents: Must be at least 16 to use Service, unless parental/guardian consent is provided.
We will delete information of children below age limits if accidentally collected.
7. How Long We Retain Your Information
Registration data is retained while you are active and for 12 months thereafter. Marketing data is processed until you request to stop. Transaction data is retained per legal requirements. Full deletion may have technical limitations.
8. Subscriptions and Refund Policy
- Canceling Subscription: Manage via app settings; Google Play subscription management applies as relevant.
- Refund Policy: Refunds may be available within 30 days under conditions such as technical issues unresolved, accidental or duplicate payments, and non-excessive usage. No refunds for inactive accounts. Pro-rated refunds may apply mid-cycle. Processing can take 7–14 business days after approval.

10. Content Data
We don't store personally identifiable content or biometric characteristics from your uploaded files, text, or links beyond what is required to operate features. Users can manage and delete content anytime, or it will be deleted upon account deletion. We don't share this content with third parties.
